All this talk of Hindu minority, Muslim majority doesn't matter. India does not recognize the two state theory. It doesn't recognize carving out nations based on religion. Pakistan was forced out of India because the British and its allies wanted a puppet state next to the oil fields of Middle East. It was afraid of a united India and Soviets joining hands and dictating the area. Look at how US has supported Pakistan over the years. It gave them weapons and helped them develop its nuclear missiles. It used Pakistan territory to supply weapons to the jihad in Afghanistan against the Soviet controlled regime. The truth is that culturally and historically, the whole of India and Pakistan is one. It is dirty politics that created this chaos.
